Browne. That pur\u00adchase led to a need for a new con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion and under\u00adly\u00ading prin\u00adci\u00adples or \u201cobjects.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-772 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Kiwanis-1920s-300x169.jpg\" alt width=\"353\" height=\"199\">More than 800 pages of sug\u00adges\u00adtions for the new con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion were sub\u00admit\u00adted and con\u00adsid\u00adered. Includ\u00aded in those 800 pages were six sug\u00adges\u00adtions for the objects sub\u00admit\u00adted by New York Gov\u00ader\u00adnor Lew Mitchell.&nbsp; Kiwa\u00adnis mem\u00adbers approved those six state\u00adments, with minor changes, at the 1924 Kiwa\u00adnis Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal Con\u00adven\u00adtion in Den\u00adver, Colorado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The six objects have remained unchanged since being approved in 1924. In 1974, <em>Kiwa\u00adnis Mag\u00ada\u00adzine <\/em>edi\u00adtor David Williams wrote, \u201cToday they remain an inspi\u00adra\u00adtion and a bea\u00adcon for any of us who choose to redis\u00adcov\u00ader&nbsp;them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">So, we can look to the past to help us lead in the present. We face a glob\u00adal pan\u00addem\u00adic, the effects of racism, shaky economies, and many oth\u00ader seri\u00adous prob\u00adlems. For\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly, the fol\u00adlow\u00ading Objects of Kiwa\u00adnis still pro\u00advide an inspi\u00adra\u00adtion and bea\u00adcon for our work as Kiwanians.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\">To give pri\u00adma\u00adcy to the human and spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal rather than to the mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal val\u00adues of&nbsp;life.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\">To encour\u00adage the dai\u00adly liv\u00ading of the Gold\u00aden Rule in all human relationships.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\">To pro\u00admote the adop\u00adtion and the appli\u00adca\u00adtion of high\u00ader social, busi\u00adness and pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adal standards.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\">To devel\u00adop by pre\u00adcept and exam\u00adple, a more intel\u00adli\u00adgent, aggres\u00adsive and ser\u00advice\u00adable citizenship.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\">To pro\u00advide through Kiwa\u00adnis clubs a prac\u00adti\u00adcal means to form endur\u00ading friend\u00adships, to ren\u00adder altru\u00adis\u00adtic ser\u00advice and to build bet\u00adter communities.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\">To coop\u00ader\u00adate in cre\u00adat\u00ading and main\u00adtain\u00ading that sound pub\u00adlic opin\u00adion and high ide\u00adal\u00adism which make pos\u00adsi\u00adble the increase of right\u00adeous\u00adness, jus\u00adtice, patri\u00ado\u00adtism and goodwill.&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Thank you for being a Kiwan\u00adian and a mem\u00adber of the Eye of the Tiger eKi\u00adwa\u00adnis. Thank you for step\u00adping up to serve the chil\u00addren of the world and to address the prob\u00adlems that we face.
