For many of us, the cel\u00ade\u00adbra\u00adtion looked or will look dif\u00adfer\u00adent this year, due to the <span class=\"caps\">COVID-19<\/span> pan\u00addem\u00adic. Yet, we have been find\u00ading mem\u00ado\u00adrable ways to hon\u00ador our moth\u00aders, fathers, and graduate<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In the same way, many of our Kiwa\u00adnis clubs are man\u00adag\u00ading to stay in touch, con\u00adduct busi\u00adness, serve, and gain new mem\u00adbers through\u00adout the pan\u00addem\u00adic. I con\u00adtin\u00adue to be inspired by the lead\u00ader\u00adship, cre\u00adativ\u00adi\u00adty, and high-mind\u00aded ser\u00advice of Kiwanians.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Con\u00adsid\u00ader, for exam\u00adple, the Ocean\u00adside, New York Kiwa\u00adnis Club that con\u00adnect\u00aded restau\u00adrants that <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-642 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Restaurant-296x300.png\" alt width=\"177\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Restaurant-296x300.png 296w, https:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Restaurant-75x75.png 75w, https:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Restaurant.png 675w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 177px) 100vw, 177px\">were los\u00ading mon\u00adey or clos\u00ading with the need for meals for first respon\u00adders. They invit\u00aded the com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty to donate through social media, start\u00aded with $27,000 in dona\u00adtions, and split the order among the restau\u00adrants. Now they sched\u00adule drop offs at dif\u00adfer\u00adent loca\u00adtions for 3 meals a day. It has become a com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty-wide project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The same is true for the one-year-old Greater River\u00adton Area, <span class=\"caps\">IL<\/span>, Kiwa\u00adnis Club. Soon after orga\u00adniz\u00ading, they start\u00aded a bless\u00ading box that their inher\u00adit\u00aded Key Club stocked as need\u00aded. It mor\u00adphed into a food source for those in the com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty who became unem\u00adployed. The club now receives dona\u00adtions of $2500-$3000 a week, in addi\u00adtion to dona\u00adtions of food, to stock the box up to 11 times dai\u00adly and to sup\u00adply a dri\u00adve-through food pantry at the busi\u00adness of one of the club members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Like\u00adwise, the Greater Port\u00admore Kiwa\u00adnis Club on the south\u00adern coast of Jamaica devel\u00adoped a #<span class=\"caps\">WECARE<\/span> plan. They have pro\u00advid\u00aded hand san\u00adi\u00adtiz\u00ader and clean\u00ading sup\u00adplies for first respon\u00adders, food for elder\u00adly res\u00adi\u00addents and those who are quar\u00adan\u00adtined, and bar\u00adrels of water for hand-wash\u00ading sta\u00adtions at hos\u00adpi\u00adtals and police stations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-643 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/music-300x134.jpg\" alt width=\"183\" height=\"81\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/music-300x134.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aderik.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/music.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 183px) 100vw, 183px\">Then there is the Oril\u00adlia Kiwa\u00adnis Club in Ontario, Cana\u00adda, spon\u00adsor of a 61-year-old music fes\u00adti\u00adval and com\u00adpe\u00adti\u00adtion for grants, schol\u00adar\u00adships, and tro\u00adphies. When the live per\u00adfor\u00admance was can\u00adcelled, the club quick\u00adly adapt\u00aded to vir\u00adtu\u00adal per\u00adfor\u00admances with remote judg\u00ading to give stu\u00addents access to col\u00adlege oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties and pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adal exposure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Now more than ever, the world needs Kiwa\u00adnis. Now more than ever, Kiwa\u00adnis needs the Eye of the Tiger eKi\u00adwa\u00adnis Club. Think of what the mem\u00adbers of this club do on a dai\u00adly basis, from giv\u00ading away over 35,000 books to under\u00adserved chil\u00addren to open\u00ading a new club entire\u00adly through vir\u00adtu\u00adal inter\u00adac\u00adtions. Thank you for your leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">We need your lead\u00ader\u00adship both now and after we come out into a \u201cnew nor\u00admal.\u201d We need your lead\u00ader\u00adship to con\u00adtin\u00adue gain\u00ading new mem\u00adbers and new clubs. We need your lead\u00ader\u00adship in engag\u00ading and retain\u00ading those mem\u00adbers and clubs.
