The Grade Twos I read this book to were eager to iden\u00adti\u00adfy all the ani\u00admals inside the front cov\u00ader before I began to read the sto\u00adry. This book is quite time\u00adly know\u00ading the ter\u00adri\u00adble fires now roar\u00ading through Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The young boy, Anto\u00adnio Willie Giroux, loved to explore the woods and look for ani\u00admals, but they always remained hid\u00adden away. One hot, dry sum\u00admer dis\u00adas\u00adter struck: a fire rushed through the for\u00adest. Every\u00adone ran to the lake to stand knee deep in the water as they watched the fire. Slow\u00adly, ani\u00admals emerged from their for\u00adest home and joined the peo\u00adple in the water.
