Six\u00adteen eager EOT<\/span> Kiwa\u00adni\u00adans were held in rapt atten\u00adtion on Novem\u00adber 21st as our meet\u00ading was once again chaired by our Pres\u00adi\u00addent, Past Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal Trustee Barb Thomp\u00adson. She greet\u00aded all and thanked every\u00adone for mak\u00ading a some\u00adwhat lat\u00ader meet\u00ading time. Sev\u00ader\u00adal mem\u00adbers had to send regrets as they were attend\u00ading oth\u00ader Kiwa\u00adnis func\u00adtions. That we can forgive\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Birth\u00adday best wish\u00ades go out to our Pres\u00adi\u00addent Barb on Decem\u00adber 5th, Alan Struck on the 16th and Ker\u00adri Gor\u00addon on the 17th. All of us wish you a very hap\u00adpy birth\u00adday and a hap\u00adpy, healthy year ahead. A few Tigers do not appear to have their birth month and day list\u00aded with KI<\/span> so I do apol\u00ado\u00adgize if I missed you. If so, please do let me know<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our tal\u00adent\u00aded Trea\u00adsur\u00ader Valar\u00adie Brown-Klin\u00adgel\u00adhoe\u00adfer report\u00aded that our dues to CNH<\/span> of $ 1666 and KI<\/span> of $2631 are all paid. Yea! We cur\u00adrent\u00adly have accu\u00admu\u00adlat\u00aded $2080 in our admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtive fund and $800 in our ser\u00advice bud\u00adget. $200 from the ser\u00advice account is des\u00adig\u00adnat\u00aded to pay for book labels while the rest is made pos\u00adsi\u00adble by the gen\u00aderos\u00adi\u00adty of EOT<\/span> members.<\/span><\/p>\n

In con\u00adjunc\u00adtion with the Lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adcy Club Foun\u00adda\u00adtion<\/a> our EOT<\/span> mem\u00adbers may apply for books to dis\u00adtrib\u00adute to local schools. For $2 per dona\u00adtion, you will receive a chil\u00addren\u2019s book worth $4.99 or more. <\/span>The min\u00adi\u00admum order is 10 books but you can order more. The more books\u2026the merrier! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The EOT<\/span> book plate labels will be insert\u00aded pri\u00ador to mail\u00ading the books out to you. You can spec\u00adi\u00adfy the age lev\u00adel of the chil\u00addren you wish to serve and even their area of inter\u00adest as well.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This EOT<\/span> lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adcy project is made pos\u00adsi\u00adble with dona\u00adtions from<\/span> Emil\u00adia and Chuck<\/span> Gugli\u00aduz\u00adza, <\/span><\/span>Joe Mey\u00ader, Valar\u00adie Brown<\/span>-Klin\u00adgel\u00adhoe\u00adfer<\/span> and<\/span><\/span> Doug Chad\u00adwick of the Kiwa\u00adnis Lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adcy Club.<\/a> As your newslet\u00adter edi\u00adtor, I am vague on the details and the specifics of this won\u00adder\u00adful ini\u00adtia\u00adtive, so I would sug\u00adgest you reach out to Doug<\/a> for more information.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prepa\u00adra\u00adtions for the KI<\/span> pre-con\u00adven\u00adtion blitz are under\u00adway. EOT<\/span> Joe Mey\u00ader, PIP<\/span> Jim Rochford and KI<\/span> Club Open\u00ader Jay Hub\u00adbard are coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00ading the event. Joe Mey\u00ader is work\u00ading with the cur\u00adrent Gov\u00ader\u00adnor, incom\u00ading Gov\u00ader\u00adnor and LG<\/span> to find appro\u00adpri\u00adate site selec\u00adtions. Joe iden\u00adti\u00adfied poten\u00adtial loca\u00adtions with more research to come pri\u00ador to a final decision.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pres\u00adi\u00addent Barb will reach out to club mem\u00adbers to get an idea of those who are able to par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpate in the club open\u00ading Sun\u00adday, Mon\u00adday, Tues\u00adday and per\u00adhaps Wednes\u00adday night. Hotel rooms will be pre\u00adarranged. She will also sub\u00admit a grant appli\u00adca\u00adtion request with KI<\/span> that would help with the cost of the blitz. This should keep her busy\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Addi\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adly, Joe has approached KI<\/span> about the pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty of EOT<\/span> mem\u00adbers sell\u00ading but\u00adter\u00adfly pork\u00adchops at the con\u00adven\u00adtion to help raise mon\u00adey for our ser\u00advice account. The tim\u00ading and loca\u00adtion of this is on cur\u00adrent\u00adly being explored. Thank you Joe for fir\u00ading up those ideas!<\/span><\/p>\n

PIP<\/span> Jim shared the end of year mem\u00adber\u00adship num\u00adbers with us and the cur\u00adrent sta\u00adtus of club build\u00ading. Con\u00adgrat\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions to East\u00adern Cana\u00adda and the Caribbean for being in the plus col\u00adumn as well as Rocky Moun\u00adtain and Asis Pacif\u00adic for the last Kiwa\u00adnis year. On the whole, Kiwa\u00adnis lost approx\u00adi\u00admate\u00adly 2400 mem\u00adbers, hence the need for open\u00ading new clubs. Last year saw 433 clubs opened to help mit\u00adi\u00adgate the mem\u00adber\u00adship loss. This year we are cur\u00adrent\u00adly behind in club open\u00ading com\u00adpared to the last two years. Time to let the tigers out! <\/span><\/p>\n

When the next Kiwa\u00adnis Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal Con\u00adven\u00adtion<\/a> is held in Indi\u00adanapo\u00adlis, Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal Past Pres\u00adi\u00addent Jim Rochford, EOT<\/span> mem\u00adber Joe Mey\u00ader and KI<\/span> Club Open\u00ader Jay Hub\u00adbard have all vol\u00adun\u00adteered to help spear\u00adhead the club open\u00ading event pri\u00ador to the KI<\/span> con\u00adven\u00adtion.
