There are many pos\u00adsi\u00adble projects that we can under\u00adtake with\u00adin our com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adties to help make a dif\u00adfer\u00adence in the lives of fam\u00adi\u00adlies. Ide\u00adal\u00adly, projects should be sim\u00adple enough for an indi\u00advid\u00adual to exe\u00adcute and require lit\u00adtle in the way of cap\u00adi\u00adtal to execute.<\/p>\n

The idea I will share with you this month is some\u00adthing I call  A Birth\u00adday in a Bag<\/em>. As a par\u00adent and grand\u00adpar\u00adent, I know that a child\u2019s birth\u00adday is a very spe\u00adcial event in their life. For strug\u00adgling fam\u00adi\u00adlies, a par\u00adent often may not have the resources to pro\u00advide that extra some\u00adthing on their child\u2019s spe\u00adcial day. That is where the Birth\u00adday in a Bag<\/em> helps out.<\/p>\n

As you may see from the pic\u00adture I took of one of the bags donat\u00aded to our local Sal\u00adva\u00adtion Army Food Bank, there are sev\u00ader\u00adal items that were pur\u00adchased from the local Dol\u00adlar Store. The cost to equip a birth\u00adday bag is approx\u00adi\u00admate\u00adly $10 for us here in Canada.<\/p>\n

I choose a colour\u00adful Hap\u00adpy Birth\u00adday gift bag so if a par\u00adent has a gift for their child, they can make use of it as wrap\u00adping. Includ\u00aded in the bag is a gen\u00adder neu\u00adtral child\u2019s birth\u00adday card, birth\u00adday nap\u00adkins, a bag of bal\u00adloons, can\u00addles, a cake mix and a can of ready made frost\u00ading. What you choose to include is up to you. I try to keep it simple.<\/p>\n

I was asked if a cake pan is pro\u00advid\u00aded to bake the cake in. It is not, with the think\u00ading that a pan of some kind is usu\u00adal\u00adly avail\u00adable in most kitchens. So\u2026let\u2019s get cook\u00ading up some great project ideas that Eye of the Tiger Club mem\u00adbers can try out!
